An assembly I used to prepare Year 10 for work experiences. You can ask staff what they did for work experience and include in the powerpoint. The students loved this part. The powerpoint is 12 slides long.

A simple booklet that I made for some of our Autistic Students to encourage them to do their life skills work. They used this booklet to record what they had done in the lesson (cleaning, washing up, ironing, etc...) and then were given a target by the member of staff with them for the next lesson. There is also a second page that they can use to stick any pictures of them doing these activities to.

In this unit you are going to apply for a work experience placement. You will learn how to fill out an expression of interest form and apply for a suitable job. If you are successful, you attend a work experience placement each week and keep a diary of your progress.
