There are a total of 52 cards which include a particular question relating to the different types of community helpers as well as the different tools and resources that they need to carry out that position. This is a great resource early learners, students with autism and learning difficulties to build vocabulary and increase their knowledge of the theme of community helpers. This resource is great for students who are non-verbal. On each card, the student as asked to reflect on the question and give a yes or no answer. There is also an option for “I don’t know” which allows for facilitation of reflection and discussion. Aprender sobre lo que hace a un buen amigo y lo que lo hace un mal amigo es una habilidad vital importante. This resource includes over 36 cards which includes key characteristics of both good friends and bad friends. These cards allow students to differentiate between what qualities they themselves would like to cultivate and what qualities they would like to look for in a friend themselves. At the end of the resource are two pages – one which is a box for “Good Friend Qualities” and “Bad Friend Qualities”. Simply cut each card and laminate for longevity. Students will have fun working either individually, in pairs or in groups exploring each of the qualities and characteristics. This Social Narrative supports children’s understanding of the importance of eating and drinking food as well as emphasise their ability to eat and drink food independently. A five step process is included which helps to support children who may present with fussy eating patterns as well as a co-dependence parents and/or other carers to feed them. This Bingo game is a great game to familiarize students with a variety of helpful and unhelpful coping skills. This is a great game for individual, small group or even whole class activities. This game is the perfect supplement to your SEL lessons. This bingo game includes the following unhelpful and helpful coping skills: Counting, have a drink, bounce on ball, happy thoughts, hug favourite toy, stress ball, go for a walk, play play-doh, read a book, talk to someone, write it down, refuse to work together, pushing others, giving up, bossing others around, not listening, kick things, kick someone, tantrum, destroy property, throw items, using swear words and telling lies. HOW TO PLAY The caller reads the bingo card, and the players identify whether they have that card on their BINGO mat. If they do, then they cross it off and the first to cross off all 16 coping skills on their unique mat first wins the game!
