Ppt contains plenty of vocabulary to give opinions and talk about free time activities in the present tense at length. It introduces the present tense of -ar verbs and frequency expressions to take their language up a notch. It includes tasks to practise all skills plus small vocab and grammar tests. This is a continuation / build up from Module 2.1, which you will also find on my shop. Ppt recaps opinions and adjectives and adds new ones to describe both subjects and teachers at length. There is quite a lot to practise adjectival agreement and plurals. There are differentiated and challenging activities to practise all skills with your students, a range of starter activities and 2 different vocab tests at the end of the ppt. As the textbook isn’t great, I created many extra resources to combine with working on the textbook. That includes the introduction of the present continous tense. This resource includes a 174 slide ppt presentation I prepared to teach the new Edexcel International GCSE 9-1 for my Year 4 group. As the textbook isn’t great, I created many extra resources to combine with working on the textbook. What’s included: resources for Unit 1: Everyday life at home and school, which at the same time includes activities for section: 1A House and Home --> 1A.1 Donde vivo yo; 1A.2 Esta es mi casa; 1A.3 Que haces en casa; 1A.4 Las habitaciones de mi casa. It comes with two extra reading activities I made up to extend my students, two versions of vocabulary tests to be done at the end of every-subsection, and overall a good range of activities that train the 4 skills, and grammar. There are writing activities that match Q6 and Q7 from the specification as well. There is at least 1 grammar question resembling the grammar paper in the spec, too. Listening activities usually bring answers and transcripts to be displayed. I have also attached the list of vocabulary provided by the textbook for the Unit 1 Everyday life at home and school, corresponding to sections 1A to 1D, ALREADY FILLED IN WITH THE TRANSLATIONS for students to use as revision if you dont want to spend time from the lesson/homework to get them to write them down. By the end of the topic, students not only will be able to talk about what they do at break, but also they will be able to talk about what they do in lessons. A nice thing to do if you have curriculum time for it. Ppt starts introducing a range of phrases to talk about what you do at break, a reading activity, listening from the book, speaking and finally a closing writing paragraph. Then, vocab is introduced for things you do in class, many of them recycled from Module 2 (Viva 1). It contains a range of activities to practise all skills, vocab tests and homework ideas. There are some present tense (regular) verbs activities as well to provide some extra practice. Ppt introduces a range of phrases to talk about what you do at break, a reading activity, listening from the book, speaking and finally a closing writing paragraph. You can buy the longer version of this on my shop: Viva 1 - Module 3.4 Durante el recreo + Que haces en clase?, which is a fusion of this sub-unit plus Module 2.2 from the Mira 1 textbook: Que haces en clase?, which I created to stretch the most able, as not only it equips them with things to say they do at break, but also in different lessons. 7 different boards where students highlight items based on the groups given in each board. With this resource, students will be reinforcing common grammatical points they get mixed up: personal pronouns: s/he, we, they high frequency reflexives, stem-changing verbs and irregular verbs verbs in the 1st and 3rd person, singular and plural por/para ser/estar preterite, present, future & conditional haber, ser & tener in the 3rd person singular Answers included; some boards require students not only to highlight but also to write the correct answer (e.g. in por/para). A popular resource among my students, as it’s an alternative way of doing revision for which you just need a bunch of different highlighters.

These are good to do as starters before a module exam is going to take place, or as revision before end of year exams. PPT contains 5 slides, 2 for module 1 - mis vacaciones (I did this twice in the year so I designed two versions); 1 for module 2 - todo sobre mi vida; 1 for module 3 - ¡a comer!; and 1 for module 4 - ¿qué hacemos? They all include items from each sub-unit within the module, ensuring everything is revisited. Each slide contains 12 questions ranging from very easy - easy - challenging - difficult for students to translate into either language, or come up with a short explanation / phrase. The harder the question, the more points they can take if they get it right. The idea is for them to do it at the back of their book / on a MWB. Answers appear on click. Allow at least 15 minutes of the lesson for it to be done properly.
