Macbeth Full Play Annotated

(0)
104 PowerPoint slides containing annotations for the whole play - Macbeth. A great resource to accompany a reading of the play or to help students address gaps in their learning through absence. I originally created this resource to help some students who missed a large proportion of the curriculum due to absence. Annotations are click activated so the teacher can talk through them one by one. There are over 300 annotations covering every scene of the play. Obviously, I have prioritised the key moments from the key scenes for the most detailed annotations. The PowerPoint is fully editable so you can add extra annotations so you add, remove or change the amount of annotations to suit the ability of your students. I have included a revision task sheet that encourages students to go through the PowerPoint and explain what is happening in each scene, explore the language in the key quotations and evaluate the thematic significance of the scene.

Students must firstly define rhythmic development methods (definitions provided). They must then identify how this looks by using musical examples. The gold task then asks students to apply at least one method to their own composition. All worksheets are in word so they can be further adapted in order to differentiate for your students.

Grade 9 Bayonet Charge and Remains (2017 question)
HMBenglishresources1984HMBenglishresources1984

Grade 9 Bayonet Charge and Remains (2017 question)

(0)
A grade 9 response to the AQA May 2017 power and conflict question in which Bayonet Charge was the named poem. This response was completed in 45 minutes so replicates the amount of writing expected within the time frame of the examination. In other grade 9 power and conflict responses on Tes I wrote comparative-style paragraphs. For this essay I used a different method. In the first half of the essay I focused solely on the named poem Bayonet Charge and then referred back to Bayonet Charge in the second half of the response when analysing Remains. Both methods are effective. This resource can also be purchased as part of the bundle of multiple grade 9 power and conflict comparative responses: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/power-and-conflict-grade-9-model-essays-12213236 Or as part of a bigger bundle covering revision materials for all 15 poems: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/power-and-conflict-bundle-2018-11881499
