SHORT SCHOOL PANTOMIME- THE FROG PRINCE- HOPPILY EVER AFTER...

(0)
THIS IS A VERY SHORT PANTOMIME WHICH SHOULD TAKE UP TO AN HOUR TO PERFORM. It has been written to include lots of small parts and cameos from staff, or altered to create more parts for pupils. There are a lot of places where you can insert staff names for comedic effect. You can include songs of your own from singers/choir to lengthen the pantomime. When performed at my old school, this was a sell out. It was written for a secondary school but could be adapted for primary. CHARACTERS Narrator/Fairy Godmother very small part -can be read SW: Snow White ( helper to the Frog Prince)main part Sleepy: (Mostly asleep – doesn’t say much, but he’s hilarious) small part little to say EQ: Evil Queen ( evil and a queen) secondary part with audience interaction FP: Frog Prince ( lovely with lots to say, but a bit dim) main part FPR: Frog Princess ( very moody) secondary part RRH: Red Riding Hoodie (streetwise/gangster) secondary part with audience interaction Wolf (very posh, fond of scrabble ) smaller part with audience interaction Hansel: (loves eating, all he goes on about is food) smaller part Gretel: (brother annoys her ) small part Witch: (Hansel and Gretel’s witch- very fed up of children) small part GW: Green witch (tries to help) smaller part, can be read Ben and Jerry- EQ’s evil but dim sidekicks. Larger part High and Jinx :Laundry staff :cameo part for 2 teachers GRUMPY: Larger part Cameo parts for: Teacher A- cutlery scene Teacher B- cutlery scene Teacher C; cameo Pond dipping teacher ( tiny cameo part right at the end of the panto) preferably with a snorkel and swim suit! The plot involves the Frog princess and prince who are getting on each others nerves, his quest to win her back, meeting some very strange characters along the way…
