Science reading comprehension can be engaging! This reading comprehension for science discusses the topic of aerobic respiration and exercise. Along with the reading passage are science reading comprehension worksheets, containing questions that align with the reading passage. There is also an application question to get the students showcasing their understanding.
My passion for science literacy is what has lead me to develop a range of science reading comprehension worksheet, as it is important for students to be able to access nonfiction reading comprehension outside of their English lessons.
This lesson plan is designed to get students enjoying reading about science and applying what they have learned.
The focus of the passage is aerobic respiration - what is needed for it to occur. It also focuses on exercise and the impact of exercise on the body in order to meet oxygen and glucose demands.

This activity is designed to get students thinking about the adaptations of the Axolotl and its current conservation status through a simple reading comprehension activity.
