Controlling Body Temperature GCSE Active Revision Card Activity Versatile and Effective

(11)
This resource is one of my active revision card activities on 'Controlling Body Temperature'. Aimed at the new 9-1 AQA specification for single sciences, but the content looks like it would suit all exam boards. My active revision cards include a 'Do' and 'Review' slide, where the 'review' assists the student with the whole content for the lesson and the 'do' makes the learning more active and challenges students to recall the keywords etc for the lesson. The document is very versatile, can support the flipped learning environment as an instructional slide. Can be printed on half a sheet of A4, a great size as take away revision cards, also good size for a starter for the next lesson or a plenary at the end of the lesson. The resource also makes a good support mat printed on a full A4 sheet. This is one document from a pack of my premium resources. I hope this will help students and teachers with teaching and learning.

Action Potential Card Sort Revision Card/Activity New OCR A Level

(2)
Useful for students to use for revision, and for teachers to use in a lesson as an activity to help students learn the action potential graph. Includes a 'Do' slide and 'Review' slide. The 'Do' slide is an activity to check understanding, statements can be matched to each part of a blank graph which students can be encouraged to have a go at drawing (you need to source this - many options available on internet for checking students work). The 'Review' are the answers which doubles up as a revision card for the student. Teaching Ideas: The Do can follow chalk and talk or similar as the teaching component, alternatively send one student in a group at a time to view the graph and report back to draw the graph shape. Students can then work out which statement belongs where, this should be followed up by teacher consolidation.
