I trained as a teacher of secondary Mathematics and evolved into a Computing teacher as well. I offer mainly Mathematics resources written for the current Australian Curriculum (NSW). Luckily Mathematics is recognisable all over the world, so I hope that teachers in different countries can use some of my work.

Algebra jigsaw
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Algebra jigsaw

(1)
Algebra jigsaw and answer sheet. Can be used as a review at the end of a lesson. A literacy task where students need to be able to interpret the mathematical symbols to match with the written descriptions. An alternative task can be prepared by copying the answer sheet onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the squares from each sheet and place into a small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-8NA generalises number properties to operate with algebraic expressions
Numerical indices jigsaw

A jigsaw with answer sheet to revise numerical indices. Can be used as review at the end of a lesson. An alternative task can be prepared by copying the answer sheet onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the squares from each sheet and place into a small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-9NA operates with positive integer and zero indices of numerical bases

Measurement and Geometry

(2)
A single sided worksheet with solutions. Students need to use the vocabulary associated with measurement and geometry correctly. A variety of tasks are included. A good activity for the end of a lesson.
Seeing stars
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Seeing stars

(0)
A single sided worksheet with solutions. Students need to plot points on the Cartesian number plane and identify the different polygons formed. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-8NA analyses and creates geometric and number patterns, constructs and completes number sentences, and locates points on the Cartesian plane
Time for ?
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Time for ?

(0)
A single sided worksheet with solutions. Students need to be able to work with 24 hour time and a.m. and p.m. time. They need to interpret the timetables and answer questions. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-13MG uses 24-hour time and am and pm notation in real-life situations, and constructs time-lines
Statistics review
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Statistics review

(2)
This is a set of 4 worksheets with answers reviewing the statistical concepts of range, mode, median and mean. Questions are posed numerically as well as graphically to help the student to think deeply about these concepts. (Australian curriculum) NSW MA4-20SP analyses single sets of data using measures of location, and range
3-D cuts
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

3-D cuts

(1)
A single page worksheet with answers. Students need to be able to think about the properties of three-dimensional objects and the two-dimensional shapes formed when they are sliced. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-14MG identifies 3-D objects, including prisms and pyramids, on the basis of their properties, and visualises, sketches and constructs them given drawings of different views.
Drawing prisms and pyramids
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Drawing prisms and pyramids

(1)
Instructions for students to draw 3-dimensional shapes using Microsoft Word. Teacher's instruction sheet included. Useful activity for students as an ICT or Mathematics lesson or for teachers wishing to improve their computer expertise. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-14MG identifies three-dimensional objects, including prisms and pyramids, on the basis of their properties, and visualises, sketches and constructs them given drawings of different views.
Two step equation jigsaw
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Two step equation jigsaw

(1)
Easy equation solving jigsaw and answer sheet. Can be used as a review at the end of a lesson. An alternative task can be prepared by copying the answer sheet onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the shapes from each sheet and place into a small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-10NA uses algebraic techniques to solve linear and quadratic equations
Flag design
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Flag design

(1)
A single sided worksheet. Students need to think about the different ways to colour the flag design in using only 3 colours. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-2WM selects and applies appropriate problemsolving strategies, including the use of digital technologies, in undertaking investigations
Perimeter and area of rectangles
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Perimeter and area of rectangles

(1)
A single sided worksheet with solutions. Students are given 2 pieces of data about each rectangle. They then need to calculate the missing data, using the formula and by problem solving. The worksheet could be used for revision or as a homework assignment. (Australian Curriculum) NSW M4-12MG calculates the perimeters of plane shapes and the circumferences of circles MA4-13MG uses formulas to calculate the areas of quadrilaterals and circles, and converts between units of area
Percentage puzzle
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Percentage puzzle

(6)
A worksheet with answers that investigates a puzzling (to students) aspect of percentages. Can be used in class or given as a homework activity. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-3WM recognises and explains mathematical relationships using reasoning
Polygon angles
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Polygon angles

(5)
Worksheet with worked solutions, that leads students through the calculations to determine the angle sum of regular polygons and their interior angles. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-18MG identifies and uses angle relationships, including those related to transversals on sets of parallel lines
Mixing paint
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Mixing paint

(3)
This resource consists of 2 worksheets with solutions. Students are working with ratios to mix the same shade of paint each time. They are producing a series of equivalent ratios. Harder questions require them to work backwards. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-7NA operates with ratios and rates, and explores their graphical representation
Volume of prisms
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Volume of prisms

(3)
Single sided worksheet with answers. Students are given 2 types of prisms to find volumes. Formulas are given. Students need to calculate the base area of each prism then find the volume of the prism. Some questions require the students to think more deeply and work out the original measurements to get a certain volume. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-14MG uses formulas to calculate the volume of prisms and cylinders and converts between units of volume.
Sieve of Eratosthenes
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Sieve of Eratosthenes
