This is a PowerPoint that I print out and use as a work booklet for students studying Gaming or Media Studies. This resource is an 11 page work booklet that explores the purpose of PEGI age ratings on video games, as well as the content descriptors.

Where students get to review the progress with their PfA independent living goal and tutors can provide written feedback.

This is a 3 page task booklet to teach the EDSQ (Essential Digital Skills Qualification) Unit 1 - Using Devices - Locate and install and application. It includes sections where students can demonstrate how to install an app. Perfect for both Entry Level 3 and Level 1 students, including SEN students.

This resource is great for writing subject reports for SEN students. It gives the opportunity to state what course criteria has been completed so far, whether they are on track, how they have managed each half term and what support needs they have. By completing a section each half term, means when its report time at the end of the academic year, your reports are already written!

I use this resource for students completing the NOCN (National Open College Network) Entry Level 3 Road Safety Awareness for Pedestrians course. Tutors can use the 5 evidence assessment sheets to state what evidence is provided in the students portfolios, when students have completed paperwork for their NOCN Road Safety Awareness for Pedestrians E3 course. Course code: NOCN M/505/3716 This NOCN course is used in the Travel Training sessions for SEN students

This is a resource I use for students that have completed an Art and Design course. This is an end of course student feedback sheet, so students can feedback how the Art course went and if anything could be improved.

This is a PowerPoint that I print out and use as a work booklet for students studying Film or Media Studies. It is a 17 page work booklet, where the students explore and research the purpose of UK film classification and the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) film ratings.

This is a resource I use with students completing a Functional Skills - English/Literacy course. It is a Speaking and Listening assessment task, where students have to roleplay for 5 minutes making a phone call (ordering a takeaway). This resource could be used for SEN students, to support them with the Speaking and listening course criteria.

This resource can be used for students completing a Gaming or Media Studies course. This is a 4 page game review worksheet for the video game 5 Nights at Freddy’s, where students answer questions about tasks within the game, comparisons with games of the same genre, characters, graphics and sound etc. This can be used as an extension task after students have played the game or for substitute teaching.

I use this resource for CEIAG (Careers Education Information Advice & Guidance) sessions for Media Studies sessions. (It could be adapted to suit your subject area). It recaps the 5 different media sectors and the students can then choose a media sector to research a career they may be interested in, to discover what skills, qualities and qualifications are needed. Suitable for Entry Level 3+ students. I use this PowerPoint with the accompanying worksheet. The slides also demonstrates how what the students have been doing/learning in sessions is relevant to a potential career in media.

This resource can be used for students completing a Film or Media Studies course. This is a 3 page research task using the IMDB (Internet Movie Database) website. Students are asked to research their favourite film on the IMDB website. It provides the opportunity for students to recognise websites as a source of information. This resource could also be adapted for ICT/Computing Internet research tasks.

A Year Plan for the Arts Award (Bronze) for 2023/2024. It has a Graphic Design project based theme. I like to create a year plan first, to plan my year out before completing my Scheme of Learning (I like how you can see the whole year on one page) The Year Plan can be put at the front of each students’ folder and the student can see where they’re up to too, ideal for SEN students who like to know what’s coming next! This Arts Award Year Plan is for the academic year 2023-2024 and is easily adapted to suit your curriculum needs. Suitable for Entry Level+ students.

This is a resource I use for SEN students who are completing Art sessions. At the beginning of the year, the students state what their Art EHCP goal is and how they will achieve it in sessions. This resource is then used to review progress and achievement half way through the year and again at the end of the year. (See accompanying Art EHCP goal set up sheet.)

This resource can be used for students studying Gaming, Media Studies or Creative iMedia. This is just a 1 page resource that encourages students to design a poster for their favourite video game. This resource can be used as an extension task, for substitute teaching or as a fun task for Functional Skills English/Literacy (persuasive text). Suitable for SEN students or Entry Level 3+
