It incorporates the NOCN Discover Local History L1 course, to embed students’ interests into a fun Travel Training course. I use this resource as a short research project for students studying Film or Media Studies. Where students have to research iconic film cars such as, the DeLorean, Aston Martin and Batmobile/Tumbler and etc. This resource can be incorporated into a Film Studies course or to use a substitute teacher friendly resource, 1 day project. This is a resource I use for students who require Travel Training sessions. At the beginning of the year, the students state what their EHCP travel training goal is and how they will achieve it in sessions. This goal is then reviewed again half way through the year and again at the end of the year to measure progress and achievement. (See accompanying EHCP goal review sheet.)

I use this resource for students that require Travel Training skills. I use this resource if the student has an EHCP goal where they need to practice budgeting skills. I usually get them to purchase a refreshment whilst out travel training, as well as bus/Metro/Tube tickets and they can work out totals, costings etc.

I use this resource with the accompanying PowerPoint for CEIAG (Careers Education Information Advice & Guidance) sessions in Media Studies sessions. Students recap the 5 different media sectors and then research a career in the media sector (via the PowerPoint/Group Discussion). Afterwards, the students can complete this worksheet, stating what skills and qualities are needed for the chosen career and how they have been working on these within sessions. This is a resource I use with my SEN students who are completing IT courses. Students are tasked with creating and conducting a survey (to work on their communication skills and confidence). Students have to find out what types of computer products people prefer (Laptop, Mobile, Smart Watch etc.) It can also be used to develop students’ Excel document skills by collating the results into a bar chart or graph. This resource is great for writing subject reports for SEN students. They are usually placed in front the accompanying NOCN Imaging Software Level 2 Portfolio Assessment Sheets (which are an opportunity for students to provide photographic evidence for their qualification). NOCN Code: It covers all criteria, from 1.1 to 2.6 I embedded this qualification into a Digital Media course that I designed, where students designed their own media product.
