This is one of a series of 7 lessons that I have uploaded with all of the resources attached to the upload. So each is a complete lesson ready to use. The lessosn cover the key techniques that pupils need to revise prior to the language exam and are aimed at D/C borderliners. You can obviously add / adapt them as you need but they are certainly a good starting point.

Writing to persuade - Selling The School lesson. This is one lesson with resources from a scheme of work that I've delivered about informative and persuasive writing. The theme was advterising and selling the school. The lessons obviously have context specific images and detail and you will want to change these for your own delivery but there are a variety of tasks involved that hit all different types of writing and the pupils really like the real life context. This was written to gather info. on how the state treated Oliver but can now be used for either identity or family, depending on the year of entry. OfSted Outstanding Literacy All lessons Starter: With a new shift in focus for the 2012 framework that means that teaching and learning can only be judged outstanding if literacy and numeracy are encorporated across the curriculum, I am making a daily starter / settler activity that can be incorporated into all lessons.
