These resources span my career; from my period of teaching unqualified, through to an AST of English & Director of Teaching & Learning. Although my specialism is English, I have taught GCSE Citzienship, Language and Lit, Media Studies, Maths & History. I have also taught all of those at Key Stage 3, so there is an eclectic mix here. As the main trainer in my previous school, I have uploaded many insets and training session powerpoints too.

Fun Activity - Jeopardy English

As it's coming up to Christmas, we do tend to have 'fun day' on the last day of term, where we can play games and activities that engage pupils in a slightly different way... that being the case, this nice little game of jeopardy will get pupils in the festive spirit; but you will need to change the first set of questions for your own school

Paragraph Structure and Use: Lesson Starter

(79)
A few slides that can be copied and pasted into any full lesson powerpoint in order to build a language starter that deals with how a paragraph should be structured and when a new paragraph used. Ofsted's clear focus on literacy make these an important part your lesson.

Taken from AQA GCSE exam previous teaching, this is one of a series of lessons that I have uploaded on all of the poems from the anthology. The anthology may no longer exist in it's current form, but the poem is still valid for study and the lesson is self contained for leading analysis of the poem.
