Mags – Lesson PP Vocabulary and Meanings This is 1 of 8 lessons that teach about magazines. All can be taught stand alone as the PP for delivery with it’s resources are in each upload. However, if you’d like to find the others, they are uploaded as 1 Mags, 2 Mags etc. This particular lesson has L/Os: To learn the vocabulary that you need to talk about a Media product & To use your own skills of analysis to pick out the messages being conveyed to you by a Media product.

Reality TV – Genre and Conventions Lesson These lessons build into a speaking and listening assessment when used together for pupils to argue for and against Reality TV, but each covers a topic so can also be picked up separately. For ease of locating, the title stem is the same: Reality TV - '. This is a full PowerPoint lesson, ready to teach, but you will want to adapt it / update it for your own context and any resources are also uploaded with it. This lesson explores the different interpretations of slavery.

Oliver Twist – What does B grade Reading look like? This full lesson teaches pupils how to tackle a reading response and it uses exemplar material as well as providing words to work with in PEA chains.
