This was taught with my Year 4 class. Full 4 weeks of Talk for Writing fiction unit. Rags to riches tale, including a cold write activity, the imitation stage, full share write example with box up, the writer’s toolkit, story mapping lessons. Model text: Egyptian Cinderella Each slide is labelled with the Talk for Writing stages: imitate, innovate, independent application. Each activity includes timers for the activities which are activated on the powerpoint.

My class (Year 4) loved this unit when we studied it so thought it would be nice to share with others. NOTE: you may need to access the scene from the film through a subscription series such as: Disney + for the comparison lesson. (YouTube doesn’t have the scene needed to compare)
