A set of 28 task cards designed for students to independently, or in groups, review geology. Includes multiple choice and short answer questions on the following themes: Structure of the Earth Igneous rocks Sedimentary rocks Metamorphic rocks The rock cycle Included in this kit: 28 task cards focusing on different aspects of the the Earth and rocks. Student solution sheet on which to record answers. Teacher answer key. There are 4 cards on each sheet [7 sheets in total]. They can be printed in greyscale or colour [single or double sided]. Save paper and time by laminating the cards and keeping them as class sets. Provide each student with a blank solution grid for writing the answer to the problem stated on each card. Great as a group extension or consolidation activity or for early finishers. A Jeopardy style space quiz. Great as a starter plenary or review. The 27 slide PowerPoint quiz is fully editable. Also includes a bonus solar system word search. Topics included: planets dwarf planets moons stars asteroids and comets How to play: Have a student or group select a category, for example ‘biology’ and then an amount, for example ‘100’. If the student or group gets the answer correct they receive 100 points. If they get it incorrect they lose 100 points. Repeat until all the questions have been completed. The winner is the student or group with the most points. The value for each question which has been chosen will be highlighted on the master category grid so that students know which questions have already been asked.
