An exciting Maths investigation based on the book 'The Lorax' by Dr Seuss. This lesson explores the possible colour combinations that can be created by joining different coloured tufts to the trunks of the Truffula trees. This is a complete lesson with flipchart, lesson plan, recording sheet and photocopy sheet for children to make the combinations before recording them. Children are extended to explain how they solved the problem and consider what they would need to do in a new colour is added.
A set of 39 Bingo activities that cover number facts for the year 2 National Curriculum. Included is a powerpoint with 39 slides to show the children and separate powerpoint with 39 slides for the teacher to read out. There is also a recording sheet.

All checklists follow the interim framework criteria which was previously used for SATs assessments and moderations. They are all editable so you can add or remove objectives as you see fit.
Whole class checklists allow the teacher to have an overview of the whole class on one page and identify gaps to cover further. They include working at, working towards and greater depth checklist. Additionally, there is a spelling checklist of a shortened version of the common exception words, contractions and some suffix words.
Individual checklists for pupil books allow children to identify how well they are doing and what they need to work on next. Checklists are available using the exact language of the interim framework and a ‘child speak’ version.
