AQA specification 4.4.1.1 Photosynthetic reaction 4.4.1.2 Rate of photosynthesis. Complete lesson ready to use just download, print and go! Designed for teachers to deliver (specialist and non-specialists) but I have found more & more students need to access resources independently so my lessons are structured in a way that students can navigate for remote learning or to catch up on missed content. Can also be used for a flipped learning approach. A brief summary of the lesson content: Concise learning objectives - referred to through the lesson to check learning has occurred. Recap leaf structure. Develop better understanding of biological terms by looking at the etymology of words. Discover the chemical reaction and learn the word & balanced symbol equation for photosynthesis. Describe factors effecting the rate of reaction. Includes: 26 slide PowerPoint 2 worksheets (on Word so editable) Detailed answers to all tasks on PowerPoint. The PowerPoint is fun and interactive with a range of tasks to keep students engaged following the traditional starter, main, plenary format. There is also a worksheet to scaffold the classwork. I hope you find this lesson to be quite easy to deliver, you can simply click through, and flow through the content. Updated to include fully editable final slide! This revision/plenary resource covers the complete specification for AQA Combined Science – Trilogy unit 4.3 Infection & response (Biology only content add-on available separately). The PowerPoint contains an intricate mindmap that encourages students to develop links within this topic; which teaches about communicable disease, pathogens, defense systems, vaccination, and drug discovery & development; helping them to gain a greater depth of understanding of the unit. To use this resource, print out any of the slides (best on A3) then students can use their own notes/textbooks to fill in the bubbles and make the links. Can be used as a timed team game – allow each member of the team 1 minute to view the complete version then they race to fill in as much of their copy in 2 minutes as they can remember, repeat for each team member. Then ask the team to reflect on their mindmap and fill in any gaps using their own knowledge. It also works well as an individual task for a quiet summary/revision activity. For students that find it overwhelming to view the whole sheet I suggest covering half with plain paper and working on a section at a time to gradually build up the full picture. If you have any questions about this, or any of my resources, please message me at: shropshiresciencetutor@gmail.com One last thing, if you use and enjoy my resource, I’d be really grateful if you could please try to leave a positive review!
