The key term ‘soliloquy’ is introduced and explored. It then includes slides (like the preview) which guides students’ analysis of Lady Macbeth in Act 1 Scene 5. Key quotes are highlighted accompanied with questions to challenge students. An initial impression of Lady Macbeth in Act 1 Scene 5 is established and then students are asked to explore an alternative reading using Taylor Swift’s lyrics as a point of comparsion.
