Starter: Match up salaries to careers
Discussion around the influences on peoples career choices
Main task: Continuum of whats most important and least important to people
Extension: Write down skills, attributes, knowledge and qualifications for their chosen career path.
Lesson 2: luggage
Children must choose the items that they are bringing on the plane in their luggage
They must calculate the total cost of the weight and the suitcase
They must also calculate the total cost of the items that they need to purchase.
Maths lesson based on planning a holiday
TASK 1: Children have to calculate the cost of the flights, choose their seats and then choose their destination.
Challenge: Calculate added tax
Cost of the plane journey is calculated based on hours on the plane.
TASK 2: Children have to calculate the cost of the hotel choosing one hotel per destination.
