A flexible activity to promote exploration, thinking skills and research skills, great for both the outdoor environment and carrying out further research from books or the internet. There are pictures of nature in the left column, children can interpret these pictures as they wish. Then in the other column boxes there are prompts to write, draw and find out a fact about something the child does not know yet about what they have found. Extra sheets are included for children to add their own pictures or write up extra facts and so on. Students can take part in or study the activities and consider the types of play promoted by them, they can write down notes and use the Maslow game and Montessori workshop to explore different concepts and the need for play in children's development. Interactive, engaging cootie catcher revision activity to support Human Lifespan Development, Unit 1, Btec level 2 health and social care exam, also very useful for childcare/ early childhood/ early years development units These Cootie Catchers are a super fun revision tool. Including a cootie catcher with a range of questions to promote revision and knowledge of the human lifespan development Unit 1 in Btec level 2 health and social care. Contains pictures. Also another cootie catcher which has extra pictures added, this supports differentiation and provides extra prompts. Select to suit each individual student! How to play; Once the cootie catcher is made, one player picks an image. These may be in the form of coloured stars/ shaped depending on the subject. These are to represent a colour, for example there might be a PINK picture. The player then spells out the colour of the image. This will land on 4 of the 8 images again, the player picks an image to open at this point. The question is read out by the other player and an answer is attempted, it can be discussed in pairs if required as it all helps with exam revision. Text books, internet, class notes can assist with the answers and revision. A blank template has been included for students to create their own. Aim of the game, all you need is a dice To fill the clock up with superheroes. The superheroes are numbered 1 to 6 Roll a dice, count to see which number you roll, if it is a 3 for example then find superhero number 3 and pick him/ her up. Then pick up a card, read and match your superhero to the clock. E.G. If the card says ‘five past’ put your super hero by five past. Once all six numbers have been rolled, repeat. Work together to fill up the clock. Use the same method for the days of the week.
