End of Year quiz for use within Science lessons towards the end of term. A lesson looking at Women in Science and the contributions they have made, hopefully inspiring young girls in Schools to consider a career in STEM fields. Starter: Work out what all the pictures have in common (all discoveries made by women), match up the questions to the percentage answers. Main:Task 1- complete the 'Women In Science Factfind' worksheet using the computers. Task 2- Create a factfile about a particular woman in Science. 5 factfiles to go through as a class to give them an idea of what to include. Plenary: Sharing in pairs information about their woman in Science, then presenting to the group interesting facts about their woman in Science. Homework: Produce a poster or leaflet to persuade more women / girls to get into scientific fields of work. The last slide has links to different organisation that work to get more women into scientific fields of work.

The Edexcel CC2 'methods of separating and purifying substances' topic summarised on a (double sided) page. Intended for use in helping students revise for the end of topic test. Includes: - CC2a Mixtures - CC2b Filtration and Crystallisation - CC2c Chromatography -CC2d Distillation - CC2e Drinking Water I've included the PDF version so that the formatting/layout is the same on any computer and the word version if you want to adapt it and change anything.

Science exam technique lesson focusing on recognising command words and how to answer 6 mark questions. Some tasks are generic and some have specific questions to the Edexcel combined science CP6 Radioactivity topic (was done alongside DIRT for the end of unit test)- but could easily be adapted for another topic or just done as is as revision.

Revision activity for the exploring science 8F topic all about the periodic table. The idea is that in pairs/groups, students roll two dice to determine which questions to answer and fill them in on the sheet.

A series of 50 practicals for use within a science club. Includes a range of activities that link to biology, chemistry and physics topics. Each practical has a method sheet (including equipment list and scientific explanation) and an extension worksheet with questions for students to complete around the topic.
