This document was produced to help raise the profile of athletics within our school. The document was printed with each sports record square being blown up to A2 size and displayed on the wall outside the changing rooms. In addition, each sports record square was blown up onto a cardboard sign and placed at each event during sports day so the students could see what records they were trying to beat. One frustration of being a PE teacher is the perception other departments, parents and students have about our subject. There is more to PE than being a 'throw and catch' expert. This displays highlights the choices that can be made from year 9 students considering GCSE PE all the way through to University. Students have always struggle to isolate movements when more than one joint is moving. This interactive task looks at isolated movements between hinge and ball and socket joints to make it easier to learn and remember.

This example uses body systems, nutrition, PED’s and methods of training as the shopping aisles but you can change this to whichever topic you like.

Great repetitive task for students to explore the cell organelles required for GCSE specification. Quiz, Quiz, Trade requires each student to have a card and stand in front of another student. Student A quizes Student B with their card, then student B quizes student A with their card and then they trade cards and repeat the process with a new student. Ideal time for task is 10 minutes but it depends on class size and how much you can trust them to stay focused. A great task for learning in an interactive manner.

Challenge your students creative mind with a dingbats starter, to label a bacterium.

Students draw what they already know, or can remember from plant and animal cell structure. Then after learning/re-learning they can add a detialed and accurate diagram. Other slides will help with delviery of task or independent task.
