A fun, end of topic poetry lesson used with low ability year 8 students and year 7 students. This works towards students creating an 'octopoem' for display.

This a fully resourced years worth of KS3 lessons (this is for year 8 but could also work for year 7). This includes a full SOW and PP and homework activities for each booklet. Alongside, an evaluation booklet and assessment sheets. The topics include: Improvisation Scripts (Willy Russell) Haunted House Christmas Physical Theatre There are opportunities for stretch and challenge throughout. No additional planning needed.

These are the PP used to complete the theory aspect (LAC/A) of component 2. This talks students through workshop write up and the setting and reviewing of SMART targets. There is also a support sheet which I made to assist my SEND learners and versions of the assessment criteria which I have laminated for students, and myself, to refer to.

This is a bundle of work which is used to evidence my Drama and Dance students component 1 (btec technical award - LAA and LAB) This includes: A range of work analysis booklets that students work through to evidence LAA. A booklet that evidences LAB Each booklet includes model examples and scaffolds to support learners.

This includes three workshop explorations that provides evidence for comp 1 LAB (exploring the performance arts) It focuses on the set works: Blood Brothers Teechers Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time It includes three workshops and a quiz which consolidates, assesses and develops students understanding of LAA. I also have a range of lessons, model examples and worksheets to support LAA.

This is a fun, interactive drama quiz which is perfect end of topic, starter, or plenary activity for KS3 and 4 learners. The aim is to consolidate, assess and expand the students knowledge of drama styles, skills, devices alongside aspects of roles, responsibilities and staging. This has 40 questions and also has the answers included. This will allow this to be lead by students and used by non-specialists too.

This is a Drama bingo card that can be used to challenge learners when devising Drama. This can be done to challenge HAP learners, or can be used as a challenge for students to complete against one another (who can get a line or house, first) Students can receive rewards for completing bingo to engage and motivate learners.

This is a boardgame created to engage learners in component 1 of the BTEC Tech Award in Performing Arts. There are two games - one for the Dance and one for the Drama pathway. The boardgame includes our set works (West Side Story, Revelations, Swansong, Blood Brothers and Teechers) but is easily adapted to suit your own set works. Students can roll a dice to decide which questions to answer and in which order. It can be done as a game between peers or a solo task.

This bundle includes 2 units of work (6 lessons each). Both units have been used for remote learning and for the delivery of live lessons. One unit looks at Romeo and Juliet and the other improvisation, with the focus of students developing a script about being stranded on a desert island. Each lesson has a PowerPoint Presentation Each unit has a knowledge organiser. Each unit has an end of topic assessment There are opportunities for performance and creative tasks, such as script writing. Lessons includes video examples for students to analyse. Creative tasks have modelled examples to support students.

This is an activity that can be used as a starter, plenary or main activity in a lesson. I have found that it is a fun and engaging way to encourage students to re-visit knowledge and for you to assess learners understanding. You can pass a traditional pass the parcel. I use a raffle ticket reward system, therefore pass these. Each question has a verbal and physical challenge to appeal to all learners. This can be done with KS3 and KS4 learners. You can easily adapt the questions to further meet/match your curriculum.
