Here the focus is on the months of the year - there is a blank frame that children can use to fill out the months of the year. They can add in how many days are in each month. The second sheet already has the months filled in for differentiation. Children can write in the shapes, add relevant words or pictures to denote each month. They could also add in celebrations such as Easter and Birthdays. There is also a worked example where pictures have been filled in for each month. Discuss this with the children before they start to give them some ideas. These posters make a lovely months of the year display when completed.

There are 12 characters in colour here each having a different role to play in helping us. Children can talk about the jobs that they do. Does any one person have a more important job to do than the others? Why or why not? Sheet 2 LO - To use text as a stimulus for writing thank you letters to people who help us. There are 2 examples here of letters written by children to a school cook and a postman. Sheets 3 - 4 LO -To show appreciation for our community workers by writing a letter of thank you. They then mark off what they have found on the Easter Egg Trail recording sheets. There is a colour and a black and white version of the recording sheets. There are 16 colour posters included showing the different designs of Easter eggs. There are also 16 sheets where there is a colour and black and white picture of each of the eggs. Children can colour in the black and white pictures to make them the same as the colour ones or choose their own colours. They could also cut the eggs out to add to a class frieze or Easter display.
