Half a term (40 min session a week) on careers based lessons. Students will explore different career pathways further, looking at entrepreneurs for example to broaden their knowledge on what is available to them. Students will reflect on further skills building on from year 7 such as teamworking, interpersonal and communication skills, and the importance of these within careers. Students will explore STEM Careers and will learn about different roles and misconceptions. All lessons matched against CDI framework and PSHE Association objectives.
The lesson looks at contraception, and allows students to identify different types of contraception, apply knowledge to case studies and discuss advantages and disadvantages of different types.
