Edexcel GCSE Weimar and Nazi Germany (Paper 3) but can be easily adapated for other topics or exam boards.
This is a mega pack of source and interpretations skills activities and part modelled answers to build confidence in tackling this difficult paper. Our students performed really well last year after using these skills builders and we had an SPI of +0.55.
The average marks for 8 mark, 4 marks and 16 mark interpretations questions were 2 marks higher than the national average.

Edexcel Politics ALevel Specification from 2017 but can be used for AQA also if slightly adapted - Comparative USA/ UK Politics
Mega planning grid with many different 12 markers for US Comparative Government (not the theory questions) which has a mixture of fully planned answers, partially planned answers and blank for students to plan as a revision tool.
Includes all the past paper questions (12 markers) and recent and relevant examples (updated for 2023) for the ones which are planned.

Introduction lesson to Voting Behaviour and the Media
This lesson introduces students to the concept of studying voting behaviour and examines factors which may affect voting behaviour.
The idea is that students are then given case studies to produce and present on an individual election.
Includes powerpoint on intro lesson which covers 1979 and 1997 key case studies as an overview of what happened in each election. Debate on the question “1979/1997 elections were lost by the government rather than won by the opposition” examination of Valence Voting and brief introduction of other theories.

Looks at origins of Socialism and the context of the Industrial Revolution as well as earlier examples. Robert Owen, Marx and Engels, Revolutionary Socialism and Evolutionary Socialism/ Social Democracy
For a 2 hour lesson plus homework to research thinkers.
This lesson is designed for KS3 but can be used for KS4 also for the AQA and Edexcel specs.
It examines how far the lives of women changed during the 1920s and covers flapper culture as well as opposition from Christians and Traditional women as well as some men and authorities.
Includes 3 activities - a similarity and difference activity, note taking from a video clip and explanation and a card sort with continuums to annotate before making final judgments.
Considers nuances such as the lives of African-Americans in both the North and South e.g. Harlem Renaissance vs Southern Jim Crow repressed women. Also looks at age groups and rural vs urban women.

The 9 Years War Irish History
This is one of the Depth studies- a likely exam question since the focus has largely been on the Pilgrimage of Grace and the Western Rebellion up til now.
This work will take several one hour lessons - it recaps the prior Irish rebellions such as Desmond and Geraldine since the legacy of these was one of the reasons.
Looks at Tyrone’s demands as well as the motivations of Hugh Roe O’Donnell and Hugh Maguire.
