A series of lessons covering Parts One and Two for the American West Course. Also including information on Exam Questions (taken from advice given by AQA), a subject knowledge audit and a knowledge organiser.

AQA (9-1) GCSE History - Health and the People - Part One and Two
I've used the AQA Scheme of Work and recommended materials to plan Part One and Two of the Heath and the People Course. The lessons should take one hour, as recommended by the exam board. This includes 12 lessons. Lesson 1 on the spec is an overview where I talk students through Medicine, so there is no powerpoint on this, and Lesson 9 on the spec is an end of unit test/review lesson, so I have not included a powerpoint for this. I have taught the lessons to mixed ability classes in Years 9 and 10, and all students have been able to access the materials. Where necessary, answers have been put on the slide.
I've also included a course companion, which was distributed to students at the start of the course, end of unit quizzes and a subject knowledge audit, which students have put at the front of their folders to use as a 'checklist'
If you have any questions about any of the resources then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

AQA (9-1) GCSE History - Health and the People - Part 1 Quick Quizzes
At the start of each lesson you will see a 'quick quiz' powerpoint slide. This document can be given to students so that each lesson they know that the start activity is to take this sheet and to answer, in silence, questions relating to the previous lesson. This is a great way to assess prior learning.
