This lesson introduces learners to the famous Asch experiment and we start by carrying out the experiment in class as a starter (instructions at the start). After carrying out the study, students can watch the study in action while getting the key information down on aims, method, results and conclusions. We then look at Asch’s extended study which was done 4 years later by Asch on variations that can affect conformity such as group size, unanimity and task difficulty.
