This set of resources includes 2x PPTs which can be delivered over 3 lessons (over 60 slides of engaging and interactive learning) and 2x word files consisting of exam practice questions.
4.2 and 4.3 have been joined to provide a clearer delivery of the topics i.e. capacity utilisation calculations (4.2) and how to improve capacity (4.3) etc.
Learners are introduced to the concept of capacity in business, how to calculate capacity, problems of too low or too high capacity and how to improve capacity. In the next powerpoint we look at, efficiency, unit costs, lean production, just in time vs just in case and labour productivity - calculations and how to improve these aspects in business.
Many real life examples are given throughout the bundle to help students contextualise. A variety of tasks to consolidate this knowledge through discussions, research and case studies and more. Exam questions, with model answers and marking grids so students can self/peer assess to identify WWW and EBI with their answers.

In the first lesson, we start by looking at what culture means in business and what a organisations culture is made up of, how it is formmed. We then look at a number of real life examples of strong and weak cultures. We then look at Handy’s four cultures and Hofstede’s national cultures models. Influences on culture as these differ in businesses, finally we look at the challenges of changing culture as this is deeply embedded and always visible in business.
In the second lesson, we recap with some true or false questions before reading a case study, an exam question evaluating culture in a business, concise model answer and peer assessment grid for students to identify WWW and EBI before responding with an improvement. Research task, debate, kahhoot quiz and a box plenary to end with.

This lesson introduces learners to the various stakeholders and how they can conflict with shareholders priorities. We start by looking at the different types of stakeholders involved in a business, we then look at their key interests, followed by evaluating the most important interest for each stakeholders. Once students know the interests well, we can start to look at how stakeholders might conflict with each other - a few examples given here.
We read a case study on Unilever, students prepare presentations on whether they should focus on shareholders or stakeholders, this is in the form of a 20 mark question so students could answer it after the presentation, or for homework. Structure guidance and concise points that would be the main focus of the answer is provided.

This lesson is the first part of ‘The market’ and learners are introduces to what a market actually is, market leaders such as Walkers and Nescafe are discussed. We start by looking at market size and growth before reading a concise case study on which market a mobile phone app should be created for.
An activity where students consider the importance of market size over market growth. We then go onto looking at how markets have become dynamic along with online retailing. As it is the first lesson of theme 1, students are gently introduced to the assessment objectives with a basic question requiring all 4 assessment objectives - a model answer is provided to help students understand the AOs. We finish with a box plenary and homework task.

This set of resources includes 3x PPT, 7x word files and can be delivered over around 3 double lessons. We start by introducing learners to the four profitability ratios, completely broken down, step by step on the powerpoint so it is easy for students to see the logical steps and for the teacher to deliver. Plenty of calculation practice throughout the resource as can be seen on the main thumbnail, answers are provided for all questions on the powerpoint.
In the second powerpoint, we look at the two liquidity ratios, again broken down, examples and practice questions with answers. We do similar activities for the final 3 efficiency ratios in the third powerpoint before finishing with the limitations of using ratio analysis to measure a businesses performance.

This lesson introduces learners to various objectives set by businesses, we start by looking at what an objective is, then looking at the main objectives (for CTEC spec) before looking at some real examples of businesses that might have quite different objectives to each other. We look at a case study of a business that seems to have a few different priorities that could lead to them achieving their objective - a 12 mark question on ‘reputation’ as being an important objective, structure guidance and a concise model answer for students to look at when peer assessing using the marking grid provided. This double lesson introduces learners to the different ownership types such as sole traders, partnerships an private limited companies. We look at the pros and cons of each one. A few 3 mark questions with model answers to consolidate knowledge and exam technique. We then go on to read a case study about two brothers deciding to start up as either a sole trader and employee or as a LTD.
The second lesson looks at franchises, we look at the difference between franchisors and franchisees, then go on to discuss the pros and cons of each, finally applying it to a case study on Subway - which includes a 6 mark model answer for students to use to help each other peer assess. This free double lesson introduces learners to what marketing is before looking at the 4Ps. We then discuss how coca cola has worked on each P. A pair task to develop a brief marketing mix from a choice of three product types. Students then answer two 3 mark questions with model answers so they can self assess. This is followed by a group task to develop a complete marketing mix for a product of their choice and present back to the class.
In the second lesson we recap, then look at the new Amazon Go store that is launching, we discuss the pros and cons of each then have a go at answering a 6 mark analyse question.
