Softball Rules and Key terms Resource card
Simple resource which outlines the key rules when playing softball.

Student friendly and not too wordy.
A good resource to have which reminds students and teachers alike of the main rules of the game.
Cricket Bowling Check-list Self Assess card
This resource includes a checklist of 5 teaching points which should be used by students when learning to Bowl a cricket ball using an effective technique.
Pupils can use this to refer to during the lesson to ensure they can master all of the teaching points.
I have laminated the resources and use year on year when introducing bowling to KS3 and KS4 students.
Badminton Resource Card - Service/doubles/area of play
2 resources which can be used to help students understand the service rules within doubles badminton.
Includes visual cues which outlines the order of play for serving.
Also includes ‘half court’ badminton rules which I have used to get more students playing rather than waiting around for a court.
Score sheets attached for the resources to use for umpires who are standing off court.
Netball rules Resource card
List of netball rules to students who are new to the game.
Ideal resource for umpires who are officiating a game.
Can be laminated and used for students to refer to throughout a unit of work - always handy to have a list of rules when teaching a sport.
PE Football Resource - Non-Doer
This resource is perfect when teaching football in PE for a non-doer (non-participant) who can practically participate in the lesson.
It gives them meaningful tasks to complete as they reflect on teaching points of the skill. There is also a structured space for the student to pick a ‘hardest worker in the room’ award and ‘most progress from start of lesson’ award.
Students love to be a part of the lesson still even without taking part practically and this resource allows them to still fully get involved.
Front Crawl Teaching Card - Swimming
Resource card which outlines the teaching points for front crawl.
Great tool to use when teaching through a ‘reciprocal’ approach.
It allows students to have a sense of autonomy as they can freely coach their partner/peers to help them improve.
Laminate the resource and keep them pool side (splash proof not water-proof!)
Self Assess Cricket Resource
Tool to use at the end of a unit of cricket to reflect on Batting, Bowling and Fielding of students.
The assessment matrix includes Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum statements for pupils to refer to when they are reflecting on their performance.
Great conversation starters when questioning a group on their performance.
‘What would you rate yourself for your bowling?’
‘Why do you think you are gold and not platinum for bowling?’
‘What do you need to improve the most out of these 3 skills?’
Fitness workouts for the Gym
This resource includes workouts students can complete with the access of a gym.
Perfect for schools with access to a gym.
Print these off and get students to pick which workout they want to do:
Included are:
Full body

Fat burner
&
design your own workout (blank template where pupils make their own workout up)
Quick and easy to use which gives students some structure when using the fitness suite rather than walking around the gym making it up as they go along.
Badminton Self-Assess Sheet
Great tool to use in a badminton PE lesson to get pupils thinking about their progress throughout a unit of work.
Includes statements with corresponding tick boxes for ‘working towards’, ‘working at’ and ‘working beyond’.
Also includes structuring of a conversation for pupils to speak with a partner reflecting on their progress.
Can also be used a non-doer resource as there is also a ‘score sheet’ on the sheet, plus key teaching points which they can relay to students as they circulate the groups.
Hockey Penalty Corner Lesson
Resource for teaching penalty corners…without talking!
Teaching using didactic methods and standing infront of a group of students doesn’t always work - Split your class into 3 groups and let them complete a carousel of activities which are described on these resources.
Took me a while to create the resource for a 60 minute lesson, but when the lesson has started, you can micro-manage each group and provide support where necessary.
Excellent method of creating independent learners who can collaborate with their peers to achieve a common goal.
The tasks included on each resource include practical elements and discussion tasks for pupils.
Fun Rugby Passing lesson KS3 - Beginners
Fun, engaging and effective lesson for students who are beginning to play rugby in PE lessons.
The resource includes a ‘warm up extravaganza’ and different tasks for students to work through independently, minimising teacher talk time.
Have used this resource lots of times and Year 7/8 students love it!
Get it laminated and take it on the field and allow students to take the reigns in the learning!
Straddle Vault, Trough Vault, Side Vault, Vault on - Resource card - Gymnastics
This pack includes 4 resources to help when teaching vaults to students in a unit of gymnastics.
Each type of vault has simple and effective teaching points to help students master their technique.
Laminate the resource and use it year on year.
AQA GCSE Physical Education - Physical Training Overview and Self Assess Sheet (students)
AQA GCSE Physical Education - Physical Training Overview and Self Assess Sheet (students)
I have broken down this chapter into ‘i can/understand/know’ statements for the content covered throughout the unit.
Next to each statement is green, amber, red on how confident students are on the content.
The resource fits on one sheet so is an excellent tool to stick in the front of the students text book whilst they are completing the unit. The teacher can prompt students to review the statements as they go through which could aid the revision process.
There is also a page reference number next to each statement (where they can find the content in the text book). This is with reference to AQA Physical Education (Kirk Bizley) Text book.
Once students are familiar with the process, they will be able to pin point the strengths of the chapter, and areas of development.
