Finally, ask students to do their own research into cases the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) has had in campaigning against life-without-parole sentencing for minors.

Explore how intentions and outcomes don’t always measure up and ask students to research instances in history when book burning occurred. Examine a few of the powerfully loaded quotes by asking students to use the context of the film and their own words to interpret them. Ask students to compare and contrast how social media is used in Montag’s world with how it used in today’s world.
