Taught through the topic of clothing, there are many visuals and opportunities for games (OXO), as well as the creation of more challenging adjectival phrases. This presentation covers how separable and reflexive verbs are used and links both with verbs that are both separable and reflexive e.g. sich anziehen. It also includes more challenging verbs such as ‘sich die Haende waschen’ and ‘sich etwas ansehen’. There are full explanations and lists of many important such verbs, slides for playing Tic Tac Toe, gapfills and translations.

There are grammatical tables and a translation exercise and the lesson rounds of by explaining subject and object pronouns, for which a mini whiteboard would be handy!

Along with grammatical explanations there are tense transfer and translation sentences plus two slides for OXO for oral practice. Slides 5 and 11 contain the paradigm of ‘haben’ and ‘sein, which may be sung along to the tune of ‘Little, Little, Little Star’!
