This is a ‘design your own country’-themed, distance learning project that will be used whilst the children are off school. This resource spreads across 4 tasks (these could be set weekly or daily) which last for an hour each. Week 1 of 6- A no-prep lesson that opens a course on the use of nature within art. Gets children outside exploring, and it is perfect for teaching in Fall, Summer or Spring with Grades 1-3! Week 4 of 6- A no-prep lesson that explores colour theory, mixing paint and the art of impasto painting. Children in grades 1-3 will learn which colors mix together to create others, in addition to monochromatic, analogous and complementary color schemes. A perfect art unit for Autumn, Spring or Summer! This product contains a 19-slide Teaching PowerPoint that guides students through previous weeks’ learning (watercolours, critiquing peers’ work, photography basics) and develops their art foundation knowledge by looking at colour theory.
