September update - what's new?
As usual here at Tes, we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes – updating and improving our current products and features, and developing new ones. We do this with one thing in mind – to make the products and features that you rely on easier to access and use, more effective and even better value for money.
So, just what’s new?
Tes Portal continues to evolve
Tes Portal is our dedicated platform for schools to attract, train and empower their staff. We’re continuing to add and update products and features in Tes Portal to ensure we’re supporting schools in the best way we can.
Tes Portal is evolving into a platform that you can use for much more than just recruitment. This month the new look Portal homepage went live which includes a direct link to Tes magazine. This means staff members from subscription schools can now access Tes magazine articles easily from within Tes Portal.
Supply Manager is live!
After months of planning and piloting with a selection of schools, we’re very pleased to announce that Supply Manager went live in September. So what is Supply Manager anyway?
Supply Manager helps you to find the best short and long-term supply teachers from your local agencies whenever you need them with easy-to-use booking and safeguarding tools. It enables you to seamlessly manage all of your recruitment in one place (Tes Portal) rather than having to use different systems for permanent and supply roles. It means you can:
- Request long-term and daily supply teachers from agencies in your region through Tes Portal
- Send a supply request to multiple agencies simultaneously
- Get a greater choice of candidates through a broader range of agencies
- Manage and view Safeguarding information and documentation
- Control your budget and spend on supply
- Access all timesheets on Tes Portal

The website’s had a facelift
The ‘Recruit with Tes’ section of the website has had a makeover and is now the all-new ‘Tes for Schools’. At Tes, we don’t just help you find great teachers, we want to help you train and empower them too. So we’ve made sure it’s cleaner, fresher and clearer to see everything we do to support your school all in one place.
The new site also includes a brand-new blog, featuring the latest insights and developments from the education industry. As well as expert analysis and advice, you’ll also find new product demos and developments from our team, and the latest recruitment trends, staff training and retention and more.
