This resource contains a dialogue in which a ghost recounts his birth, life and spectacular death, and manages to include the standard list of 13 verbs with être in the passé composé. There is a reflexive verb in the passé composé chucked in for good measure. The dialogue is followed by a capture sheet, upon which the pupils must add examples of the 13 verbs in the passé composé to the given list of infinitives.

Each slide of the powerpoint practises a different German sound / spelling pattern. Slide 1 acts as a homepage for the activity. Students pick an image. When you click on it, it hyperlinks to a phoneme for the class to practise. (This is similar to the one I made for beginners, but the vocab is appropriate to KS4.)

A number images of school uniforms from various countries for students to describe and comment on. Also one suggested seventies-style 'teacher uniform' for them to describe and comment on, and which begs the question for further oral work 'Sollten die Lehrer eine Uniform tragen?'

RATESPIEL Meine Stadt

Ppt featuring severely cropped authentic images of places in Berlin (station, supermarket etc). Pupils have to try to guess what the place is and say'Hier gibt es ...'. The cropped image is followed by the full image to confirm the answer or make it a bit easier, and this is then supported with the correct sentence in German. Colour coding has been used to emphasize gender. The final four slides build up a table modelling the use of the Nominative after Das ist vs the Accusative after Es gibt. This could be elicited from students before clicking in each answer.

This replaces a previously uploaded version which simply did not work (as my Year 12s discovered.) A text about three contrasting holidays has been broken up and students must reassemble it correctly. This is followed by the original text (ie the solution), a reminder of the Adjective / Comparative / Superlative constructions, and an exercis comparing two of the holidays.
