This product is a set of 70 task cards adding up Canadian money up to the value of $5.00. Each card shows a combination of coins up to a particular value which students add up and write the total in the space provided. <strong>Content</strong> • 70 Task cards • Answer Keys • Recording Task Card Sheet • Blank task cards • All six coins - (1 Penny coin used for teaching purposes only - Task Cards 1 to 7 ) • Flags <strong>Write and erase</strong> You can print onto cardstock, laminate and cut out the cards for students to practise adding up coin values. Ideal for early finishers and for those students who need more practice in adding up coins. <strong>Print off, cut out and glue into workbooks</strong> You may wish to record students’ work and so this resource is great for cutting out and sticking into workbooks or onto plain paper. Pupils do not have to work through the task cards in number order. Whatever ability the student is at, you can choose the appropriate task card. There is a Recording Sheet with space for the student’s name and date for when each activity card was completed. <strong>Alternative uses</strong> I have included blank card and coins which you can prepare to suit the needs of your students. Children will have fun playing bingo, snap, memory games and other games with this resource. x30 Bingo Cards numbered 1 to 30 - 12 pictures on each card All the bingo cards are different. It can be played as a whole class or in small groups. Children can dab or cross off a picture that they have with a dry-wipe pen or place a counter on their picture. 36 Calling cards with words and pictures. For Snap! Make extra copies of the calling cards for students to play Snap! Memory Match Game: Photocopy two sets of the calling cards and then lay out a selection of the cards face down on the table. Players take turns to pick up two cards. If the cards match, the player keeps the two. If the two cards do not match, the player returns the cards to the same position they were in face down. The players have to try and remember where the cards are. A Thanksgiving mixed bag of differentiated math worksheets and practical activities ideal for math centers. Content Teacher notes (5 pages). You could set up math stations for students. Optional lesson starter PowerPoint (0 to 20) – Whole class counting aloud backwards and forwards. You can assess students’ knowledge - which number comes after 7 or what numbers comes before 11 and practice one more/one less. Picture Number Puzzle Strips x7 (color/b/w) – The strips range from 1 to 10, 11 to 20 and then counting by 2s to 20; counting by 2s using odd numbers, e.g. 1, 3, 5 etc and even numbers – 2, 4, 6 etc. Numeral cards 0- 20 in words and figures for various activities such as matching numbers to number words; sorting odd and even numbers. 3 sets of Picture cards (pumpkin, pumpkin pie and ‘We are thankful’ cards) – to be used with a variety of activities with the numeral cards, as outlined in teacher notes. E.g. Group activity, you or a student can shuffle the cards 1 to 10 and place them face down on the table. Another student takes a card and then count out the picture cards to match the number. Tens frames and turkey cards for various activities such as missing number in an equation. Place for example 7 cards on the tens frame and then write: 7 + ____ = 10 The student will see 3 empty spaces on the tens frame. Cut and stick activity - Counting up to 5. Thanksgiving Counting worksheets (2 pgs) - Students count the pictures and write the number in the space provided. Color and count worksheets (2 pgs) Students read and count carefully how many of the pictures they need to color in. Missing Numbers worksheets (7 pgs) Students fill in the missing number above each turkey. Students are counting by 1s forward and backwards starting from any number. Write the number before and after (2 pages) - Students trace inside the middle number and then write the number that comes before and after. Trace over numbers and words up to 10 This resource comes in color and b/w. Students can practice forming their numerals and counting the pictures alongside the number. An assembly presentation with worksheets activities about why Thanksgiving is celebrated includes the Pilgrims voyage on the Mayflower and Squanto. This resource relates to St. Patrick’s Day (17 March). It is versatile in that you can save as a different name and then adapt to suit the timing of your assembly. It can also be used as a lesson resource where you can focus on a particular topic such as St Patrick’s life from when he was born, taken as a slave and the becoming the patron saint of Ireland. Content: A Presentation (69 Slides) on facts about St. Patrick and how the day is celebrated. The presentation starts with a welcome to the whole school. It then shows a stain glass window of St Patrick holding a shamrock. There are questions and answers throughout the presentation to involve the children. A St. Valentine-Themed resource but it can be used at anytime of the year. Aimed at YR/YR1, SEND. Content: • 6 Lovebug Worksheets in colour (Also in b/w) • 7 Hidden Hearts Worksheet • 8 Hidden Roses Worksheet • 1 Blank Lovebug worksheet for your use • Number Track with/without hearts • Number Line Lovebug Worksheets Students count the hearts on each side of the bug and then write in the missing numbers in the equation and solve. Some reception children in the second term would be able to solve the equations and do the hidden hearts and roses worksheets. 7 Hidden Hearts Worksheets These worksheets entail subtraction methods, either counting up to work out the answer or counting back. Students can use the number track/line to help them. E.g. If there are 6 hearts and 2 are hidden, students can count up from 2 to get to 6 or use the 6 – 2 method. Students can use their fingers or mental arithmetic strategies. 8 Hidden Roses Worksheets These worksheets are similar to the hidden hearts worksheet except that the roses are hidden in the middle of the glyphs. This product relates to telling the time on analogue and digital clocks. Content: • 2 Blank clocks showing 5 mins interval - Students can use these to refer to when working on their activities. • 2 Worksheets – Showing o’clock times to convert to digital times • 8 Worksheets – Different digital clock times which students read and then draw hands on analogue clocks to show correct times. • 8 Worksheets – Different analogue clock times which students convert to the correct digital times for each clock. More challenging • 5 Worksheets - a digital time is shown and 3 analogue clocks of which one of the clocks shows the correct time. Students tick the correct time shown. The activity is labelled A to J. In addition there are: •4 worksheets with questions A to J - students answer related questions on this activity (Answer sheet Included).
