This resource pack consists of a series of files which can be used separately or in the order in which they are numbered to create a lesson sequence exploring the concept of a sporting hero. There are supporting activities, factsheets and worksheets looking at a variety of sporting heroes and examining the history of sport. A unit of work to support understanding of the section on World Trade in the WJEC GCSE Geography (A) specification. The unit includes comprehensive notes with appropriate animations, a glossary of terms, activities to test understanding and model exam answers to questions. Pupils could use the units within their own study and parts could be used for whole class discussions. The materials are also suitable for other some exam board specifications.

The final activity recaps on the use of the apostrophe to signal a missing letter and provides an entertaining game encouraging pupils to make a distinction between the apostrophes of possession and contraction.
