This product is a set of 70 task cards up to the value of €5.00 or 5 €. Each card shows a combination of coins up to a particular value which pupils add up and write the total in the space provided. Content • 70 Task cards • Answer Keys • Recording Task Card Sheet • Blank task cards • All eight coins • Flags Write and erase You can print, laminate and cut out the cards for pupils to practise adding up coin values. Ideal for early finishers and for those pupils who need more practice in adding up coins. Print off, cut out and glue into workbooks You may wish to record pupils’ work and so this resource is great for cutting out and sticking into workbooks or onto plain paper. Pupils do not have to work through the task cards in number order. Whatever ability the pupil is at, you can choose the appropriate task card. There is a Recording Sheet with space for the pupil’s name and date for when each activity card was completed. Alternative uses I have included blank card and coins which you can prepare to suit the needs of your pupils. E.g. Write the amount of money on the right-hand side of the card and then pupils cut out the coins to match the amount of money you have written down. Pupils can cut out the little flags and stick on the blank task cards. For small group or one-to-one activity Lay out cards that have the same value but different combinations of coins. This is a set of money worksheets relating to working out change from €5 and €10 notes and answering money word problems. You can use these worksheets as an extension to your lesson, as worksheets for early finishers or for group work. Updated May 17, 2022 I have now included two versions of the original worksheets which you can still download. Worksheets versions 2 and 3 show the different ways euros and cents are written. This resource relates to UK money - giving change. There are 50 task cards/activities. Content: 50 numbered Task cards Answer Key Recording Sheet Money Reference Sheet There are two task cards to a page. The task is in two parts: • First students add up the coins/money in the first column and write the price of the item. • The middle column shows the money used to pay for the item. • Students work out the change using whichever method they are comfortable with and then write the change given in the last column. The recording sheet can be used to write the date each card was completed. Great for early finishers and/or you want to review money with your students. **This resource relates to repeated addition and arrays to visualize multiplication. ** Aimed at: Year 1/2 and Lower Keystage 2, and SEND. PowerPoint Presentation (24 Slides) contains: Illustration and explanation of arrays (rows and columns) How we read the arrays What is repeated addition and how it is written (2 + 2 + 2 = 3 lots of 2 = 2 x 3), i.e 2 repeated 3 times. Whole class activity on describing an array on their whiteboards There are 3 worksheets:- Activity 1 (2 pages) - Children write repeated additions for the arrays shown. Children that require support with the activities can write one repeated addition e.g. 2 + 2 + 2 whereas a more able child will be able to write two addition models: 2 + 2 + 2 and 3 + 3. Activity 2 (2 pages) - (Extension) Same as above but the arrays are larger. There is a small section on the worksheets where it asks children to show 3 lots of 4 and then circle the groups. Activity 3 (8 pages)- Cut and Paste activity - The activity involves children cutting out buttons and arranging them in an array according to what is asked in the boxes: e.g. 5 x 2, so the student cuts out 2 lots of 5 buttons (10) and form them in an array, e.g. 5 buttons in a row and 2 columns. This product relates to adverbs of degree. I have included a common list of words but there are so many. Use this resource to supplement your teaching of adverbs of degree. You may like to display some of the posters around your classroom. Laminating the posters and flashcards gives them that professional look. Content: Teacher’s Notes Adverbs of degree title card 15 whole page display cards or anchor cards (you can enlarge) 52 Adverbs of degree flashcards - you can photocopy onto colour card paper Differentiated Worksheets 1x Word Search with Solution The 52 adverbs of degree are 4 words to a page - just laminate and cut out. Extras: 6 sets of Worksheets to practise using adverbs of degree: Worksheet 1: Adverbs of Degree Cloze Activity. Students choose an adverb to complete the six sentences. For the second part of the worksheet, students make up a sentence of their own using one of the adverbs that was not used in the cloze activity. Worksheet 2: Adverbs of Degree Modifying Adjectives Worksheet. Students write 9 sentences using the numbered adverb/adjective words in the table. The students can work in pairs if they feel they need help in making up sentences. Worksheet 3 – Adverbs of Degree Modifying Action Worksheet. An explanation is given in the box. Students write 9 sentences using the numbered adverb/action verb in the table. An example is given. Students can draft some sentences on their whiteboard before completing the worksheet. Worksheet 4 – Adverbs of Degree Modifying Other Adverbs Worksheet. Similar to the above task, - A brief explanation is given in the box. Students then write 9 sentences using the numbered degree adverb/other adverbs in the table. Students can draft some sentences on their whiteboards before completing the worksheet. Worksheet 5: Adverbs Focus: Enough, Too and Very Worksheet (with Answer Sheet) In completing this worksheet, students must think about the word order of ‘enough’. The rest of the worksheet is straightforward when the students come to use ‘too’ and ‘very’. The second part of the worksheet requires students to write their own sentences using each of the degree adverbs. Adverbs of Degree Word Search (with Solution) – Students find 14 words listed that go across and down. Worksheet 6: Extension: Rewrite the list in alphabetical order on a separate sheet of paper. Listening and Speaking: As a whole class or small group activity, shuffle a few flashcards and ask a student to select a card. This product contains four different CVC word work and missing CVC words in sentences activities. Students read simple sentences and choose the correct rhyming CVC word, complete sentences with multiple-choice CVC words and read short poems with rhyming words. Set 1: Worksheets A and B - 10 sentences per sheet Students read each sentence and then match the highlighted word with the correct rhyming word. Students choose one out of the three choices in the box. Set 2: Worksheets 1 and 2: 10 sentences per sheet Students read each sentence and complete it with a suitable word from the box. There is a choice of three words but only one is suitable to complete the sentence. Set 3: Worksheets – Read and Spell Activity (1) – (4) Students read each sentence and then look at the picture representing a CVC word. This is an opportunity for students to sound out each phoneme, blend and then write the CVC word in the space provided to complete the sentence. Set 4: Worksheets – Poems with missing rhyming words A fun rhyming activity. Students can work independently, in pairs or you can make it a small group and/or whole class group activity. Play the PowerPoint Presentation and students can either say how many counters they see or write the answer on their whiteboards. 25 Addition Task Cards The addition task cards are on PowerPoint Slides. Hand out whiteboards/dry erase pens. Show one or two slides. Tell students that There are two blue blank boxes below the tens frame for students to write two addition sums. Ask: How many blue counters do you see? Ask: How many yellow counters do you see? Now tell the students to write an addition sum using the plus and equals sign and then to show you on their whiteboards. Ask: Does it matter which way we write the addition sum? And would it change the answer? You can print out the task cards as they are also saved as PDFs and laminate for students to practise write addition sums two ways. Other suggested uses Learning about doubles. Select some of the addition cards including those with the same amount colours on each card, i.e. 1 + 1; 2 + 2; 3 + 3; 4 + 4; 5 + 5. Ask children what they notice about the number of counters? Same number repeated twice, 3 + 3. You can use this resource to present in an assembly (10-15 mins) or as a standalone lesson as I have included worksheets. It is editable to suit learning abilities of your pupils. Remember to ‘Save As’, give a new name to the Presentation before editing. You can change the date of Mother’s Day as it changes each year. Content: • Assembly/Lesson Notes • 19 Slides – PowerPoint Presentation • Mother’s Day card to colour in and add additional designs • Worksheet 1 – Pupils draw four things and write simple sentences of what their mums do for them. • Worksheet 2 – Pupils draw four things and write simple sentences of what they will do on Mother’s Day to make it special • Worksheet 3 – Pupils complete a cloze activity. Simple Ready-made card This is for some pupils who are reluctant to design a card. See preview pane. Print off the sheet onto card or good quality paper. Pupils can decorate and colour in and add their name at the bottom. Then fold along the line to look like a card. Second sheet with the heart should be printed on normal paper. Tell pupils to decorate the sheet with the large heart on and then cut out to stick onto the front of the card. 3 Optional Worksheets to use after assembly or lesson. Worksheet 2 – Pupils draw four things and write simple sentences of what they will do to make Mother’s Day special. There is a gap-filling activity with the words in the word bank. The second part is finding which day of the week is missing and then writing it.
