SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Ross Saunders has made a video nasty of his school’s crumbling “temporary” classrooms, and sent it to Education Secretary David Blunkett.

The huts, arrived at Broadclyst primary, near Exeter, 50 years ago. Now, said Ross’ father John, they have concrete cancer, have to be eacuated in high winds and snow, are cold in winter, hot in summer, and smelly. Devon council is bidding for money under the Government’s New Deal for Schools scheme. Four classes are taught in the huts, which were expected to have a ten-year life.
