A secondary schools project focusing on Mendelssohn’s “Hebrides Overture”
will have pupils from schools in Beath and Inverkeithing in Fife writing new music to symbolise the Hebrides, with the help of five visits from Royal Scottish National Orchestra musicians. The new compositions will be performed by both school groups at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh on March 24 (6.30pm). Pupils will then attend the RSNO concert, that includes the Hebrides Overture.
