Teachers and pupils will be able to watch films and call it learning as 60,000 films are made available online to schools. Filmclub, set up with support from the film industry, will be introduced in 7,000 schools over the next three years. Film luminaries Emma Thompson and Sir Alan Parker were to attend yesterday’s launch party.
