Gillian Keegan On Apprenticeship Guarantee

The coronavirus outbreak has seen the further education sector change beyond recognition in the past few weeks.

College campuses are closed to all but a small number of students and all learning has moved online. Apprentices have seen their training halt as their employers close their doors because of the pandemic, and others have been made redundant. The proposed delivery of T levels in September 2020 is up for review, and all GCSE resits and A level exams have been cancelled.

Opinion: GCSEs are cancelled – so what's next?

The Department for Education has published guidance for the FE sector on how to deal with the changing landscape, and there have been messages of thanks from ministers to providers.

But now, for the first time, the FE sector has an opportunity to put its questions to apprenticeships and skills minister Gillian Keegan. Ms Keegan has committed to answering questions that Tes will put to her from the sector.

This is your chance to ask the minister about anything that is of concern to you and your learners.

Your questions can be submitted via Twitter using the handle @TesFENews and with the hashtag #AskTheFEMinister, or you can email them to Julia.Belgutay@tes.com and Kate.Parker@tes.com.

You have until 2pm tomorrow, 31 March, to submit your questions.
