It’s a festive fusion that celebrates all that’s joyous about Christmas.
Start with a classic Christmas song, add the creative genius of teachers – and throw in a performance by one of education’s best-known musical talents.
The result is a new interpretation of The 12 Days of Christmas, with alternative, classroom-based lyrics crowdsourced by teachers on Twitter.

Tes asked readers to come up with their own lyrical suggestions, and we compiled the 12 finest to create our own version of the song.
We then asked Bedford College principal Ian Pryce, whose recent covers of songs (complete with lyrics inspired by further education) by the likes of Dolly Parton, Katy Perry and Queen have attracted plenty of plaudits, to record it for us.
