Assessment data expert Daisy Christodoulou has joined an influential Ofqual board committee, the watchdog has announced.
The director of education at No More Marking has highlighted the impact that school closures may have made to attainment during the pandemic.
She is one of three new members of the standards advisory group, which “reviews research and makes recommendations” about maintaining the standard of qualifications.

William Pointer, head of standards and awarding at exam board AQA, and Catherine Close, director of psychometrics at Renaissance Learning Inc, also joined the committee on 1 June.
Ms Christodoulou was formerly head of assessment at Ark Schools and is the author of Seven Myths About Education and Making Good Progress?.
