The prime minister is to deliver an end-of-term message to the country’s pupils and teachers in the last of the year’s Oak National Academy assemblies.

The broadcast - premiering on Thursday 16 July at 10am on the Tes YouTube channel - will feature Boris Johnson praising the work of teachers and the effort of pupils. He will also look ahead to the full reopening of schools in September.

Following the prime minister, there will be a message from Olympic medallist Daley Thompson, who launches a programme of summer sport activities for Oak, and pupils from Reach Academy Feltham, who discuss the Black Lives Matter protests with Lavinya Stennett from The Black Curriculum.

Oak National Academy has partnered with Tes to deliver weekly assemblies since 30 April, with guests including the Duchess of Cambridge, the Archbishop of Canterbury and the cast of Disney’s West End version of The Lion King.
