AOT KEATS - ISABELLA, OR THE POT OF BASIL - CREATIVE TASK The student’s task is to create a visual representation or artistic interpretation of the basil plant as a symbol in “Isabella, Or the Pot of Basil.” Students will need to consider: LOVE, GRIEF, REMEMBRANCE AND CONTRAST. The Brief specifies exactly what they need to consider in order to achieve the finished product. The goal is to create a piece that not only visually represents the symbolism in the poem but also communicates the emotional depth and complexity associated with the basil plant in “Isabella; Or the Pot of Basil.” A summary and brief explanation of the themes in the poem is also included. Feel free to use various artistic mediums, such as drawing, painting, digital art, or even mixed media.
