Revision Timetable (Gannt Chart) for AS Psychology May 2019 Exams (AQA)

Revision Timetable (Gannt Chart) for AS Psychology May 2019 Exams (AQA)

(0)
This handy revisoin timetable (Gannt Chart format) allows students to plan their own revision timetable from now until the exams in May 2019. Print onto A3 paper (single sided). The dates are split into Monday-Thursday and Friday-Sunday. They can then check every Monday and Friday to see what topics they will be revision over the next few days. They decide what when they will revise each topic from the specification, however, I have put them in the order that I recommend they start (eg starting with research methods which can come into any section.) Planning the revision could be done as a directed study task, or completed during tutorial time with help from the teacher. They should put their Gannt Chart up on a notice board (or bedroom wall) where they can easily check it every Monday and Friday to stay on track. I use narrow margins, so if the formatting is out, try making the margins narrow or contact me on this website if you need any further help. You can also tweet me: @blonde_pretzel. Many thanks

Percentage Increase/Decrease AND Interpreting Tables of Descriptive Stats for A Level Psychology

(0)
A handy front sheet with formulas for Percentage Increase and Decrease AND a writing template for interpreting Descriptive Statistics (Measures of Central Tendency and Measures of Dispersion). Designed as a practice and assessment activity that I give to my students as homework. The mark scheme allows for quick and easy peer marking. I often get everyone to swap and spend about 10 minutes at the beginning of a lesson marking them. If you have any questions, please do get in touch either on this website or via Twitter: @blonde_pretzel or on YouTube 'Psychology Students. Many thanks

I have written a set of unofficial exam papers for the Research Methods section of the exams. This is the 8th set. The stimulus for this one a correlational study investigating the relationship between age and the accuracy of eye-witness testimony. This is the same stimulus as the 7th set, but with different questions. There are 24 marks as per the real exam and students should be allocated 30 minutes to complete it. The comprehensive mark scheme allows for easy marking and peer marking. This paper tests: Direction of hypotheses Hypothesis writing Strength & Limitation of a Volunteer Sample Ethical issues Dealing with ethical issues Controlling for investigator bias Mathematical symbol > (greater than) Identification of direction of correlation from a table of results Calculation of the range The purpose of peer review The limitation of peer review I usually use narrow margins, so if the formatting is out, then change the margins to narrow. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with me on this website, or on twitter @blonde_pretzel or YouTube: Psychology Students Thanks very much for looking at my resource.

This is the 3rd set of unofficial exam papers for the Research Methods Section of AS Level Psychology. I have made a short video to help guide students on how to read the stimulus and make ‘clues’ which will help them answer the questions in the exam paper. There is a stimulus (the same stimulus as the 4th set unofficial exam paper) and questions (24 marks) for students to answer. Because it’s AS level I have only put 24 marks worth of questions. I am currently making unofficial exam papers for A level that have 48 marks. This paper tests: Experimental Design Sampling technique Hypothesis (directional/non-directional) Hypothesis writing Extraenous Variables Random Allocation Percentage Increase calculation Interpeting descriptive statistics Implications to the economy There is a mark scheme for ease of marking, and/or peer marking. As in the real AQA exam, students should be given 30 minutes to complete the paper. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch either on this website, or via twitter: @blonde_preztel.

I have written a set of unofficial exam papers for the Research Methods section of the exams. This is the first set. I have made a YouTube video explaining how to find ‘clues’ in the stimulus. It might be an idea for students to try the paper first, then watch the video to see if they would need to make any changes. The stimulus for this one is set in prison, (it’s also the stimulus for the 2nd set). There are 24 marks as per the real exam and students should be allocated 30 minutes to complete it. The comprehensive mark scheme allows for easy marking and peer marking. This paper test: Experimental Method Experimental Design Control Measure - counterbalancing Ethics - Deception and Informed Consent Dealing with ethical issues % Decrease Interpreting a table of results Sign Test Value of N and Calculated value of S Significance Implications to the economy I usually use narrow margins, so if the formatting is out, then change the margins to narrow. Short Answer Tests on Spec. Social Influence, Memory, Attachment & Psychopathology (AQA Psychology)

These short answer tests are designed to test a student’s knowledge of the wording and content of the specification for different units. They should therefore help students understand the possible wording of the questions on the exam paper. They will also highlight any areas they should focus on for revision. The mark schemes allow for quick peer marking. I use them at the beginning of a revision session on a particular unit so students know where to focus their revision. Thanks for looking at my resources.
