GCSE RELIGIOUS STUDIES EDEXCEL / Specification B / Topic: Muslim Beliefs Lesson 48: Akirah This lesson has been designed for Spring Term 2020. It is for 1 hour with my year 10s but can easily be adapted to a double lesson. I have based this lesson on the Edexcel endorsed textbook written by Waqar Ahmad Ahmedi. Students will not need this textbook to complete the lesson but I wanted to make you as the purchaser of this resource aware. My lessons have been rated ‘Outstanding’ within internal school reviews and by Oftsed, they have been downloaded over 18,000 times and I often receive personal emails from fellow RS teachers thanking me for sharing my work. I have put this document together which contains 1 side of Christianity quotes and the other side of Islamic quotes. There is also a Powerpoint that highlights the key quotes and where they fit in with the specification. I teach the Edexcel Spec B.

Hello, This lesson is designed for topic 1 ‘Christian Beliefs’ in the New Edexcel GCSE ‘Religion and Ethics Through Christianity’. There are 2 as I have 2 hours per week however they can be condensed into 1 (which is what I have had to do to fast track my year 10s). The knowledge is based upon the book endorsed by the board written by Reid and Tyler (2016) but it is not needed for these lessons. All lessons include starter activity, learning objectives, progress checks, exam questions, reference to scripture and denominations if applicable. If you have any questions please do ask. Mel

Hello, This worksheet was created for my class to help them revise the entire topic - Marriage and the Family for the NEW Edexcel GCSE RS Spec B 'Religion and Ethics through Christianity'. Currently they are finding it difficult to remember denominations so I have included these on the worksheet. It is double sided and I blow it up to A3 to give them more room to write. They find these really useful and act as the basis for their revision.
