These Criminology resources are aimed at Level 3 students. Learning Outcome 1: Understanding the Criminal Justice System in England and Wales Assignment Criteria 1.2: Describe the Organisation of the Criminal Justice System in England and Wales I have included a power point that illustrates the relationships between the main agencies within the CJS. I have set this out in mind map format so that students can make the ‘relationship connections’ in a fun way. They can either create their own or use the templates I have provided. I have modelled four of the agencies to demonstrate what they need to do. I have told my students that they need a mind map/flow chart for each agency as an exam question could come up on any one of them. I have also included homework tasks and exam questions. Feel free to message me with any questions as I know that this is a new course! I hope you find these resources helpful- particularly if you are new to teaching Criminology. My specialism is Law and Criminology so I also welcome any Law related questions. rachael.s.roberts@hotmail.co.uk I will be putting more resources up for this unit.

Family Law Unit 4 BTEC Applied Law- Introduction Lesson & Activities

(0)
These resources are for the BTEC National Applied Law course (Pearson 2017 specification). *The lesson materials cover: Unit 4 Family Law: An Introduction * These resources contain a lesson power point along with activities and homework to prepare students for the whole unit of learning. The activities are designed to get students talking about the wider aspects of law. Before, teaching the specific assessment lessons, I wanted my students to have a general introduction lesson which introduced them to family law without the restrictions of assessment criteria. This worked really well as students then took a more thoughtful approach to learning and understanding the subject content when it came to later tasks. I hope these help.

Criminology Eduqas/WJEC- Level 3 (New Spec)Unit 1 - Campaign for Change Lesson Resources

Attached are a variety of teaching resources that helped me to assist students with their chosen campaign for change. I found that lower ability students really found the plan useful as a scaffolding device to help them set out their own campaign. I have also included the instructions i gave students on putting together their bibliography as some had never written one before. Some students used the person template to design their own t-shirts and wrist bands etc.

Criminology (NEW SPEC)Unit 2 EXAM UNIT- Criminological Theories-END OF UNIT REVISION

Revision materials for the end of Unit 2: I found that doing a mixture of tests, revision activities and getting students to have a go at their own revision materials was the best way to revise. It kept it fun, engaging and mixed up! My students found the Key Theorists Quick Revision Sheet very useful for learning them all so I gave them all a copy and laminated one for the classroom wall. This really came in handy with the lollypop game I played with them all (put the names of the theorists on a lollypop stick and they have to explain who that theorist is and what the theory is about. Make sure you give the lollypop sticks out randomly). I had a student on results day say that she hated this game at the time but after receiving her A grade- she couldn’t thank me for it enough as it really did WORK! Give it a whirl!

I have included an exam question and homework tasks. Feel free to message me with any questions as I know that this is a new course! I hope you find these resources helpful- particularly if you are new to teaching Criminology. This lesson covers everything required to understand Devolution at GCSE level. I have included examples so students can understand the way in which it works. Included in the power point is a past exam question and a structure to help students answer the source style questions. The exam questions can all be found on the exam board web-site but I have included one on here for free as it fits with the lesson and help structure. I have also included a quick reference sheet which can be found on the gov. website but again I have included on here for ease. Hope this helps.
