Topic is on aggression which covers the types and theories in a PPT format that is proving to be well liked by the students
I collected all of the Unit 2 Functional Anatomy exam questions for BTEC sport and exercise sciences.
They have been placed in date order and also in topic order
I have used these as a resource bank for a range of resources to use in lesson
This is a homework booklet which includes questions from previous exams for the Unit 1 Sport and Exercise Physiology module on BTEC Pearson Edexcel.
All Learning Aims are covered and the questions go in an order of:
short questions 2-3 markers
open questions 4-6 markers
extended open questions 8-14 markers
Also attached in the mark scheme to go with it.
I would give this out at the start of the year and have students complete 5-10 questions each week and go through the answers in the lesson as a starter exercise so they can see how the questions are answered
A resource made up lots of questions from previous exams of the functional anatomy unit 2 on BTEC Pearson Edexcel.
Covers all learning aims and goes in order of all short questions then all long questions.
Includes the mark schemes so students can see how to answer the questions
We use this to get students to answer 5-10 questions after each lesson and go through the answers as a starter of the next lesson
These resources are have been adapted using various BTEC books and the BTEC curriculum.
The power point and booklet compliment one another including tasks. These resources cover the entire unit in order of how I planned to give out the assessments.
The student feedback is very positive over the use of these booklets.
These resources cover the entire module including assessment guide sheets to help students understand how to structure the assessment.
We start with printing and handing out the rules and regs for the sports and get the students to work in groups for 4 weeks to compile all the knowledge leading to task 1. Task 1 has the students doing a personal video describing and explaining the rules and scenarios. Although there is some reluctance to do a video log, they can get the whole task done in a 15 minute video rather than hours of typing.
Next is a google drive method of assessment where the students will do practical and take footage of themselves and slot images into the google document. info on how to do this is included in the work booklet.
We then get the students to compete in a game of basketball and netball in order to do some analysis. We get the video up in lesson and have the students do notational analysis of the team. The do a SWOT and finish with a development plan.
Lastly, we will film another few games to allow students enough minutes of play to assess themselves. Again they do notational analysis and wither a post match interview or a SWOT analysis, followed by a development plan.
This format works really well.
These resources cover the whole Unit 2 Exercise Physiology module from the sport and exercise sciences specification. It has been adopted from the BTEC National for Sport and Exercise Sciences (3rd Ed) Stafford-Brown. J. and Rea. S.
The booklet and the powerpoint both marry up and complement each other to cover tasks and knowledge of the entire specification. The booklets are highly liked by the students for them to go back and refer to when doing assessments.
The guidesheet allow students to learn how to structure essays and is only a guide of where things ought to be included.
Resources to cover the whole topic of group dynamics for the BTEC sport psychology on QCF. All with presentation and handouts for students which can be make into a booklet.
The presentation covers:
Forming storming norming performing
Social Loafing
Cohesion
Leadership
Social Facilitation
My plan was to get through my topics in good time. Next I plan to interleave the topics that need revisiting so we can go over them again but with tasks and quizzes opposed to teacher delivery.
The example provided is for a functional anatomy unit which has an exam in January.
It starts from early December but can be manipulated to suit all topics.
Step 1 - divide your unit in to four main areas and write them in the four square table on page 2
Step 2 - slot the topics from each square in to the related color codes on the unit outline
Step 3 - follow the order of delivery so that the students are getting varied content to help aid knowledge retention
In here you will find powerpoints and prezi’s and handouts for topics such as:
personality
motivation
aggression
arousal
stress
anxiety
leadership
social facilitation
group dynamics
social loafing
exercise environments
transtheoretical model
For QCF specification to support the Sports Coaching Module on both SES and SDCF

FULL UNIT powerpoint covering all the specification
FULL UNIT work booklet to perfectly accompany the powerpoint
I have taken all the questions from previous Unit 1 Exercise Physiology RQF/NQF BTEC exams and put them all in a word document.
There are around 56 in total and I have removed any that were replicated

to see what type of questions will come up
how the questions are structures
how the questions are answered
conduct a walk through in lesson with any hard areas
These are the resources i created and used over the last few years of teaching biomechanics. It has been accumulated with the use of various BTEC resources.
It includes a powerpoint and handouts which we print off as a booklet for students to write in. There are also some assessment guidesheets which can be given to students to help them structure their assessments

Concentrating and following the key terms for Unit 1 Sport and Exercise Physiology, the students can use this as a quick reference to help them revise and learn all the concepts required for the exam
A similar system is use with Wall Street Traders to make quick references to certain information and knowledge.
These guide sheets and resources allow students to understand how to structure their assessments.
Teachers can use them to help with marking and highlight areas that have been completed or areas that require more detail.
They have proved to be very popular with students
These in particular are designed for the RQF sport and exercise sciences Unit 6 sports coaching.
Here you will get a guide sheet for task 1 and 2
Task 3 includes resources for the planning, delivery and the review
In this resource you will find resources that will help students in their tasks for Unit 7 Biomechanics on the RQF specification.
Guide sheets for Task 1, 2, 3 (for students to understand how to structure their work)
For Task 1 there is an Excel spreadsheet for the teacher to enter sprint times for both 100m and 400m linear motion calculations
For task 1 student dicuss the aspects of linear motion, then analyse the differences in the calculations/charts of a 100m and 400m sprint.
This is an amazing resources which breaks down the entire unit into topic by topic knowledge. The whole unit is condensed into 2 A4 pages
